I was therefore surprised one day to see Kelly looking at the art work on the wall, as she is not usually as interested in getting involved.
I thought I would grab the opportunity so I went over to her and bent down to her level, made eye contact and signed to Kelly asking if she would like to make a picture. She smiled at me, so I offered her two ideas of what she could make: a picture of an Easter egg or an Easter bunny. Kelly immediately made a choice by pointing at the Easter Bunny so we started to spread different materials onto the table.
This resulted in the three us spending an enjoyable and messy time sticking bits of paper to produce our Easter Bunny which I believe gave us all a huge sense of achievement
